Taking a cooking class in Mexico City is a great opportunity for you to explore the Mexican culture and heritage
When we think about traveling to Mexico, trying its authentic food has got to be among the most anticipated parts - if not the main reason - of our trip. Whether planning a family vacation, a honeymoon, or a quick business trip, taking a cooking class in the heart of the city is a great opportunity for you to explore the Mexican culture and heritage, as well as have a fun and flavourful experience you will never forget!
In order to truly immerse yourself in the world of Mexican cuisine, we believe you will want to learn from a local expert - Meet your instructor, Chef Natalia Luna!
With almost 10 years of experience, Chef Luna learned from Traditional Mexican Women Cooks in Oaxaca, Puebla & Yucatán and studied formal studies at the National School of Mexican Gastronomy in Mexico City. She has successfully hosted Mexican Cooking Experiences since 2017, top-rated with almost two thousand 5-star reviews all over the world. Her Mexican Salsas Experience is listed as one of the “20 of the Best Airbnb Experiences in Latin America” by BuzzFeed. She has also been featured in the L.A. Times and Hoy Los Ángeles.
Passionate about Mexican cooking, Luna offers hands-on cooking classes in Mexico City, providing a unique opportunity to explore local food markets, select fresh ingredients, and learn the techniques needed to prepare authentic Mexican dishes such as Mexican salsas, Mexican breakfast, burritos, fish tacos, Pozoles, tamales and more!
Here is what you can expect in her classes:
Local Fresh Market Tour: The first stop of your cooking class experience is at an ancient church located at the heart of Tacuba, steps away from the Tacuba Market where you will buy your fresh ingredients.
Hands-on Cooking: In a cozy kitchen setting, Natalia will guide you through the steps needed to prepare your authentic dish, where you will learn all the techniques, family secrets, and history behind your dishes, as well as enjoy as much Agua de Jamaica or Horchata as you want!
Goodie bag: After class is over, you will not only be able to savor your dish but also receive new recipes to take home and prepare on your own!
And if you can't make it to Mexico City in person, don't worry – you can still learn the art of Mexican cuisine through online cooking classes led by Natalia and other Top Chefs.
